Join our family! The Kiel Dance Team is a highly competitive team that allows dancers to support their school & community, improve their skills, and experience a team culture that's one of a kind. We work hard from June to Februray!
Please weigh the almost year-round commitment before trying out.

Monday, May 19th, 3:30-5 KMS Mpr
Tuesday, May 20th, 3:30-5 KMS Mpr
Wednesday, May 21st, 2:30-4:30 KMS Mpr
Thursday, May 22nd, Start time 3:30 pm until tryouts are completed, KHS Mpr/Wrestling Room

Do I need Experience?
No! We will teach you everything you need to know. You must be willing to work hard and take corrections daily at practice!
Will the team be making cuts
No! We will not be making any cuts this season. Everyone will participate in the parade routine and perform at 2 local parades! However, we WILL have alternates for our competition routines. We will do our best to make sure everyone is in at least one routine, Pom OR Kick. Dancers are NOT guaranteed to make both rosters, but with hard work, there is always room to be put in once coaches see improvement! "Not now" doesn't mean "Not ever"! (Sometimes tryouts isn't enough time for dancers to learn the proper kick or pom technique, keep working hard to show us what you're learning!)
Kiel Winter Invite
Each dancer will need two volunteers to work our event and set up on December 19th & 20th!
Parent Meeting Date?
Our first Parent Meeting will be on Thursday, June 12th at 6:30 pm in the KHS Commons. Dancers are encouraged to attend as well!
We will post a recap in the Band App for those who aren't able to attend!
What routines are we competing?
New this year: We are hoping to compete with a kick routine! Not everyone will be in this routine as it can be even more difficult than pom. If you don't make both rosters, you should keep working hard to improve those skills! Coaches cannot do the work for you. If you are unable to cheer on and support teammates while they perform, you should not tryout. This is a team where every performance spot is earned!
